Lent Term 2008

Poems by the 5s

Snow falls
The midnight snow
 Dropping from high
As I feel about saying
Good bye to my midnight star.
The moon shining
All around and listening to
A silent sound.
But the sunrise is coming to meet me
Like a little golden key
As I wait to see the next midnight star.

CASSIE
Cassie
, sleepy soft
Serious and lovely.

Cassie, Godmother,
Guard,
And just the best.

Cassie, we love you!

My Brother
My brother once ran a mile,
A big one,
Then he saw a pile,
Of junk.
Then he fell
And went clunk, clunk, clunk!

My brother once went to school,
And said,
“Do the rule, and do it right!”
Because he was so bright!

My brother went to a land,
Where it was very grand!
He was very happy
Playing in the sand!
By Helena St. John

The Girl Who was a Pain
There was once a girl called Jane,
She really was a pain,
She disturbed her friends,
Not a time she spends
On work, it was a shame.

One day, she thought
And some chocolate was bought,
I’ll give it all away.
My friends will come and help me eat,
My work will soon be neat.

One week it took,
To read a book,
And all was good again!
