Lecture on Leadership
5 February 2008

On Wednesday, 5th February, Nigel Briers came to talk to us about leadership.  He used to captain Leicestershire Cricket Club and played in many other successful teams, and he now is Director of Sport at Marlborough College.  He talked about qualities of a good leader on the sporting field and in everyday life.  These included good communication skills, mental toughness, empathy, charisma or having 'presence', having a good attitude, being respected by your team and having tactical inventiveness.  He also talked about leaders who he admired such as Viv Richards, Ian Botham and Martin Johnson.

It was a very enjoyable talk and I'm sure everyone enjoyed it.
