Lent Term 2008

Choral Day
Sunday 9 March

On Sunday 8th March the whole school gathered in the theatre for the annual Choral Day.   This year we did John Rutter’s Requiem, which had Requiem, Out of the Deep, Pie Jesu, Sanctus, Agnus Dei, The Lord is my Shepherd and Lux Aeterna all together.  It was a great success, especially with Lucy Hely-Hutchinson coming back to be our Soprano soloist! And also thank you to Mrs Colville for organising the practices and choice of music.  The day was a great success, and the Concert held beforehand was very good, and entertaining!

On Sunday the 9th March people gathered for a wonderful production of Rutter’s Requiem. We had Lucy Hely-Hutchison back to do the solo. The whole thing ended up to be a great production. Well done to Mrs Colville for organising choral day.

On the 9th March 2008 Ashdown House hosted a Concert; mainly to parents. The concert started with Charles garner playing the cello, it received a large applause at the end and set the tone for the whole night. At the end of the concert everyone was entertained by George Breare, smashing the drums to Tom Glynne-Jones playing a very entertaining piece on the oboe.
