Charlie's Gets Half-Norm
Saturday 3 February

Charlie Keen gets half-norm

On Saturday 3rd February, my sister and I went to the England Chess Trials at Yateley Manor. We were both hoping to get a half norm.   In the first round I won my game and my sister lost hers. In the second round I won and my sister drew.   We had to go early after the second round otherwise we would not get home in time. My sister and I both got a half point bye.  In the 4th round we both lost our games but we won in the last round.  In the end I got my half norm, with 3 and a half points, and my sister got 2 points.
