Maths

Mathematics in the school takes into account the National Curriculum and fully prepares pupils for both levels of Common Entrance Examinations.  In addition, pupils are prepared for scholarship examinations when appropriate.

Recognising that any group of children will show a range of abilities in this subject, every effort is made to ensure that the learning experiences and opportunities are commensurate with each pupil's ability, thus helping to raise his/her level of understanding and attainment.  By this means we hope to improve confidence and allow the children to derive more  pleasure and enjoyment from the subject.
